It’s starring Elizabeth Shue (Adventures in Babsitting is one of my fav movies of all time), Ving Rhames, Jerry O’Connell, and Paul Scheer.
Jerry O’Connell is so awesome in it!
Now I am partial to movies like this. I love anything to do with aquatic animals attacking spring breakers, but this is better than anything on Scifi. Sorry Sharktopus (I will still watch you though).
Piranha 3D does not disappoint, it’s funny on purpose and gives you exactly what you want. I’m a blood and guts kind of gal myself, and there is plenty of that!
Have to say I’m not a fan of 3D boobs, or underwater naked ballet. Yes, that is also in 3D, but to each his own.
In short, go see it! It’s just plain fun and I promise you’ll like it. If you don’t…
then there is something wrong with you.
By the way, it is totes worth paying the extra bucks and seeing it in 3D. I for one HATE that everything coming out is in 3D now. It’s a total scam to get even more money out of moviegoers, but I believe horror movies and 3D blend well.
When given the option of course.
That’s just my two cents.
FYI It’s actually a remake. And this is the second remake, the first Piranha came out in 1978. The first remake came out in 1995. Not to come full circle or anything, but it was a tv remake produced by Roger Corman who is also the producer on Sharktopus.
